Dematic has released preliminary details of its new 1,000t crawler crane, the first orders for which were placed by Marino Crane of the USA at Conexpo ’99.
According to the German manufacturer, the new crane, the CC 8800, is “the most powerful lattice-boom crawler crane in the world with a transport width of only 3.5m”.

Maximum load moment with Superlift attachment is 20,150tm.
Main boom with Superlift reaches 150m.
Maximum combination of main boom and fly jib is 108m plus 108m.
Transportability
By splitting the car body, Dematic has ensured that the maximum transport weights of the heaviest parts are 40t. According to Dematic, comparable competitors’ cranes in this class have a transport width of 4m and maximium transport weights of 70t or 80.
