Protective case launched for load cells
4 March 2015 by Daniel SearleLCM Systems has launched the AEN ATEX/IECEx stainless steel Ex d enclosure, for use with its ATEX range of load cells.
The UK-based manufacturer of load measurement equipment designed the enclosure for use in Zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas. It will contain an internal explosion and prevent the ignition of a potentially flammable atmosphere outside the enclosure, says LCM.
The enclosure has a minimum thickness of 16mm, is environmentally sealed to IP67 and has an internal volume of 500 cb m. It accommodates cable entries for M12, M16 and M20 threads.
