A new axial piston pump from Kawasaki “will set new standards for energy efficient and ultra quiet performance”, the manufacturer claims. The K2VL features a range of integral control options including torque limit, pressure compensation and load sensing.

Kawasaki claims that fluid pressure pulsation, which is the main cause of noise, has been reduced by incorporating new technology in the rotary group and valve plate. A noise reduction of 5dB over conventional pump designs is claimed.

Other features include solid pistons that reduce dead volume, and opposed piston stroking which reduces structural deflections. The pumps have heavy-duty roller bearings and a range of ‘highly responsive’ pressure and load sensing regulator options, including dual-spool controls and remote proportional pressure pilot options.
