The Raimondi MRT 243, sold in the UK by Vanson Tower Cranes

The crane can be configured with an 80m jib and up to 95m hook height. Back jib, slew ring, hoist winch system, slew motors, electrics and cabin can be lifted in one unit. The front jib can be erected in one, or several lifts. The crane can be reeved with two or four falls of wire rope.

“The superiority of the tubular structure gives this tower crane the rigidity and torsion fluidity that sets it apart from other products in the marketplace,” according to Trevor Vanson, MD of Vanson Cranes, the UK distributor. “By inserting a trapezoidal shape that reduces the wind effect on the crane and at the same time inserting double-pinned upper joints to assist the assembly and erection phase, it has provided an extremely impressive tower crane which is ideally suited to the larger lifting operations,” he says.
