Leading suspension systems supplier Raydan Manufacturing is on course to complete its new factory this month.

The 1,100 sq m facility in Alberta, Canada will be used for chassis modifications.

‘Over the past two years, we have seen a significant increase in the demand for tandemisations and modifications,’ said Raydan president and CEO Ray English, ‘and we have an increasing number of orders coming into the system.

Raydan’s Air Link suspension was first introduced to the USA in 1995 and soon became standard equipment on virtually all truck cranes. Link-Belt, Grove and Terex have all used Air Link suspension as standard on both the front and rear of their truck crane models for more than seven years. The Air Link is also offered as an option by truck manufacturers Mack, Freightliner, International Trucks and Western Star.

‘The completion of our new facility represents a milestone in our growth strategy,’ said English. ‘The positive response to our proprietary products, along with proposed changes in federal and provincial regulations, have brought us to the point where we are now looking at opening a facility in Eastern Canada. We are actively looking to meet demand by acquiring, partnering or merging with a facility in Ontario in order to establish this market presence.’
