The modular steel framework, designed and built by Riedl engineers in Karben, near Frankfurt, comprises a support scaffold and skidding system. The framework can lift loads up to 25m off the ground, and has a span of 10m–25m. In the wider configuration, the fitted jacks can lift loads of up to 300t; when assembled for a span of 10m, loads of 600t may be lifted. The lifting assembly is combined with a hydraulic push and pull Teflon skidding system, allowing loads to be lifted and moved as needed. The system is fully containerised, for easy transport to job sites. Riedl will use it, alongisde its other lifting and transport equipment, for press, factory and power plant installations.
