Italy’s Autogru Rigo, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has launched a new four-axle 65t-rated all terrain taxi crane, the RTT 654. It was launched at the SAIE exhibition in Bologna last month.

The five section main boom telescopes from10.2m to 40m and in some conditions can telescope partially under load. Rigo says that it has been designed for fast set up to maximise productivity for customers. Lattice extensions of 10m or 17m are available, offsettable at 0°, 20° and 40°.

The 8x4x8 carrier (8x6x8 optional) has a Euro 3 259kW Iveco Cursor diesel engine and 16 speed servo-shift ZF manual transmission. During road travel part of the 10t counterweight is positioned on the middle of the carrier deck using hydraulic jacks to keep gross vehicle weight below 48t.

Rigo also has a new 50t AT in development, for launch at Bauma next year.
