US company Sumner Manufacturing’s Roust-a-Bout wheeled jib crane is now CE approved for sale in Europe is and available from Sumner’s warehouses in Telford, UK and Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Two models are available immediately: the R100, with a maximum lift height of 4.6m (10ft); and the R250, with a maximum lift height of 7.6m (25ft). Both have a lift capacity of 680kg.
A third model, the R150, which has a slightly wider base than the R100, for greater stability, is expected to become available later in the year.
Based in Houston Texas, Sumner’s roots are as a supplier of lifting and welding support products to the oil industry. The Roust-a-Bout was originally designed for handling pipes but according to Sumner is equally useful for a range of applications.
