Findorff Construction is using the crane as it works to deconstruct two glass atriums and build out the areas to create 15,000 sq ft of commercial space. The design of the old atriums left valuable space unutilised and trapped heat that meant they required constant cooling, even during the winter months.

Findorff opted to work with the RT875E as it offered the desired lifting capabilities within the restricted space of the job site. It has a 75USt lifting capacity; four-section, full power boom with variable reach from 41ft to 128ft; and can be equipped with a 33ft to 56ft offsettable, bifold, swingaway extension increasing maximum tip height to 192ft. It is 17ft-wide with outriggers fully extended.

“It was essential to keep the crane off the street to avoid blocking traffic,” said job superintendent Greg Sweeney.

“We needed to find a crane that would fit into a small space between two buildings, but also offer the reach we needed to pick and deliver materials.”
