Sample exhibitors

Autec

The new ACS (Automatic Channel Search) technology for radio remote controls is featured on Autec’s stand. This new function is available on MK pushbutton handsets and MJ joystick controllers. It chooses the working frequency dynamically and automatically, enhancing the system’s reliability.

According to the manufacturer, it works easily: when powering the transmitting unit, it chooses a free working frequency. If interference in the work area is detected, the controller moves radio communication to a free channel, and the radio link is maintained.

The devices work in a wide radio spectrum (up to 256 available frequencies). There is no need to set the working frequencies when using several wireless controllers in the same working area. From an operational point of view, the chance of system stops due to interferences is drastically reduced, if not eliminated, Autec says.

In addition, ACS systems handle integrated transmission of data, such as measurements, messages and status, collected from the machine and sent to the portable controller unit.

Boscaro

Boscaro will be showing a new concrete column skip, for pouring concrete into columns or narrow formwork. The extra heavy duty skip is fitted with a rope to control the discharge of concrete. The discharge valve is closed automatically by a spring. The skip has a 2m long, 200m diatmeter flexible rubber hose, and comes in capacities from 500l-2,000l.

FB Gru

FB Gru will be showing a new range of flat-top tower cranes that can be installed on portal bases.

The cranes are intended for building sites and restoration jobs where accessibility problems, such as historical city centres, prohibit installing traditional cranes. The portal base, width between 2.4m and 3.8m, and up to 4.5m high, allows vehicles and people to walk underneath the crane.

The GHS351, the GHS401, the GHS451 and the GHS501 have jib lengths of 35m, 40m, 45m and 50m, and have a capacity of 1t at jib-end, and 2t maximum. The two smaller models have a hook height of 36m and the larger two 41m.

The cranes have inverters with three speeds on all movements and have structural components with no more than 6m long.

Reinforced concrete support slabs help reduce the bearing pressure on the ground.

IMET

Remotes manufacturer IMET will show its latest option dedicated to hydraulic cranes and other proportional mobile application: the DSC function. All IMET proportional radio controls allow users to set a basic speed calibration for each single motion of the machine via the radio link. IMET says these custom settings give the big advantage of having a fully operator-customised machine.

The DSC makes improvements to this system, as part of the IMET ‘PWM electrohydraulic kit’, aimed at truck crane retrofits, and, generally speaking, all equipment demanding high precision of movements. With “DSC +/-“, the ‘slow speed’ mode basic calibration can be readjusted instantaneously by the operator simply clicking a switch on his controller. It is possible to adjust the speed for every single joystick direction. DSC settings remain valid until the receiver is powered off. At next power-on, the ‘slow speed’ basic settings are restored. OrmigThe Italian mobile industrial crane manufacturer is showing a new pick and carry crane, the 45tmE. The new crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 45t, and is electrically powered. It offers remarkable performances with reduced overall dimensions, the manufacturer says. A new generation of electronic units is optimised for crane operations, with improved capability and power safety. The hydraulic system is fed by a variable delivery pump, connected to the electric motor. This controls the derricking, the boom extraction, the winch or the hydraulic fly-jib.

TCM

?A 55t rough terrain crane will be on show on the Italian manufacturer’s stand. It features a five-section 36m octagonal boom that can reach 46m with fly jib. As well as lifting 55t at 3m with standard 5.5t counterweight and outriggers fully extended, it can lift 46.8t at 3m without counterweight. The crane measures 10.6m long, 3.35m high and 2.5m wide. Outriggers are made of a double beam and can be extended up to 7.6m. The crane’s driving speed is 40km/h and traction is 4×4, with four different types of steering.

Raimondi

A new topless city crane, the MRT 126, makes its debut at Italian tower crane manufacturer Carlo Raimondi’s stand. The new model fills a gap in the company’s range, between the MRT 111 and MRT 156, both of which have a lifting capacity of 8t. With a maximum lifting capacity of 10t, MRT126 lifts 1.76t (with Ultralift System) at the tip of its 60m jib. The turntable and counterjib can be erected in a single piece, speeding up erection and cutting transport costs. Raimondi says that other noteworthy details include galvanised walking platforms and counterweight balconies. The MRT 126 is equipped as standard with an electronic control system that manages crane operations, first of all load control, for maximum safety.TCMA 55t rough terrain crane will be on show on the Italian manufacturer’s stand. 3B6

A new graphical display lights up the 3B6 stand. The CLS shows vehicle status, maintenance conditions, sensor status in multiple graphic screens. The display has integrated inputs and outputs, buttons and high-visibility warning lights. It also has a new electronic pedal, suitable for electro-hydraulic or electronic-controlled vehicles. It has many outputs: analogue, PWM or CAN-Bus. The company is also showing its MC2M CAN-Bus programmeable controller based on Freescale microprocessors and its electronic bypass key compliant with the recent revision of EN 13000.
