Verbrugge Terminals operates two ports at the mouth of the Western Scheldt Estuary on the Dutch North Sea coast, the ports of Terneuzen and Vlissingen, which together handle around 10 million tonnes of cargo annually.

Due to the port operator’s key location on the Southwestern coast of the Netherlands, Sarens says working with Verbrugge Terminals gives them an ideal base for providing logistic support for large-scale offshore projects in the North Sea.

The deal ensures exclusive cooperation between the two companies on all projects focused on the load in or load out of a range of wind turbines components and wind turbine foundation types, as well as providing key support services such as steel works.

Sarens said: "With an almost unlimited quantity and variety of equipment and value engineering plus keen project management, Verbrugge and Sarens offer their customers creative solutions to today’s challenges in the ever growing Offshore Wind area.

Together, our focus is meeting the needs of our customers in the most efficient way, with highly motivated and qualified operators, state of the art equipment, first class storage facilities and a safe working environment. The health and safety of our people as well as our visitors is our top priority.
