Liebherr Container Cranes has delivered two super-post-Panamax cranes to Gulf Stevedoring’s new Jeddah North Container Terminal and two Panamax cranes to American Stevedoring Inc’s Red Hook Terminal in Brooklyn, New York.
The Jeddah cranes have an outreach of 55m and can load or unload vessels up to 21 containers wide. Capacity under spreader is 60t and there is a heavylift facility of 70t. Height under spreader is 38m and a total hoisting range of 53.5m is offered. Hoisting speeds are 60/150 m/min; trolley speed is 240m/min; and crane travel speed is 45m/min. These are the last of a three crane order; the first unit was delivered last year.
The New York cranes have a waterside outreach of 46m and can operate across vessel up to 16 containers wide. Crane span is 27m and landside backreach is 12m. Height under spreader is 30.5m with a total hoisting range of 45.5m. Safe working load is 50 US ton under spreader and 60 US ton under hookbeam. Speeds are 60/130 m/min for hoisting, 180m/min for trolley travel and 45m/min for gantry travel.
