Essex Crane Rental has appointed Bill O’Rourke as vice president of sales and marketing and Paul Doran as vice president of operations.
Essex’s fleet comprises more than 400 Manitowoc crawler cranes and O’Rourke has been associated with Manitowoc for more than 20 years. He was most recently executive vice president and general manager of Manitowoc’s Illinois-based distributor North Central Crane. Previously he has worked in management at Manitowoc Re-Manutfacturing and at boom truck manufacturer Manitex.
Essex chief executive officer Ron Schad, who himself was general manager of Manitowoc Cranes until leaving to head up Essex last year, said of the appointment: “We are pleased to have someone of Bill’s experience and character become a member of our executive team.” Paul Doran is also an industry veteran with 25 years’ experience. He was previously president of Truck Crane Service in Minnesota. He is also an alternate commissioner for the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (CCO) and is a CCO certified crane operator and examiner.
“Paul’s vast knowledge of cranes and their applications will be extremely helpful as we continue to improve and expand our crane rental operations,” said Schad.
