The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association, a US-based trade association, has awarded 10 domestic member companies with its annual Crane & Rigging Safety Awards in recognition of their safety performance.
The 10 are: Dutcher-Phipps Crane & Rigging; Gatwood Crane Service; Hampton Cranes; M&R Constructors; Tidewater Crane & Rigging; Bigge Crane & Rigging; Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental; Southern Industrial Constructors; United Riggers & Erectors; and George Young Company.
The first five of these also a Zero Accidents Award because they had no recordable accidents or injuries in 2004.
Bigge and Dawes were also given a Safety Improvement Award for reducing the number of their accidents from the previous year.
