Liebherr has launched a competition to find Europe’s best operator of self-erecting tower cranes.
Preliminary rounds of the Tower Crane Agility Cup are being held at trade fairs and company exhibitions around Germany. The finals will be held at the Liebherr plant in Biberach, Germany in the autumn.
Operators’ agility is tested using a new Liebherr 42 K.1. with a 1,000 litre concrete bucket on the hook. They will have to hoist the load quickly, then slew and release a ball from the bucket deploy the cat in order to then set the load down accurately
