High Level Architecture Federation for Simulation of Crane Operations Onboard a Ship Defence R&D Canada – Atlantic (DRDC Atlantic) requires a contractor with expertise in simulation using the High Level Architecture to implement a federation of crane operations onboard a ship.

The contractor will develop new software and will also utilize software developed by the Warship Performance Section of DRDC Atlantic and by contractors for DRDC Atlantic. The work will begin immediately upon award and completion is expected on or before 31 March 2009.
The requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian goods and/or services. Bid evaluation will be based on point rated evaluation criteria. The responsive bid with the highest total overall points will be recommended for award of a contract, provided that the price does not exceed the budget available for the requirement, i.e. $30,000.00 (applicable taxes extra) for the Phase 1 – Literature Survey and Federation Design and $90,000.00 (applicable taxes extra) for the Optional Phase 2 – Development of Full HLA Federation.
