The lube skid fits conveniently in the back of IMT’s Dominator mechanics truck and consists of tanks with hose reels to top off equipment fluids. One of the standout features of the new lube skid is that it has patent-pending polyethylene tanks, which are 80 percent lighter than equivalent-sized steel tanks. Poly tanks also prevent contamination of fluids from rust, as can happen in steel tanks. As they are not welded, they lack stress points that can lead to leaks. “Not only is our new lube skid one of the lightest on the market,” says Tim Worman, commercial vehicles product manager for IMT, “but it also offers the truck operator the distinct benefit of mobility. “
