In addition to a regulatory database, SpectWare Pro offers a remotely accessible database with personnel data, machine history, and inspection history, and synthesizes this data to produce statistical reports.
Spectware Pro is a cloud server, meaning that users can log on from internet-connected personal computers and handheld mobile devices. They can access the cloud with Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and Blackberry.
CEO and president Eric Skinner worked with ‘a team of industry veterans’ to create the system, which combines maintenance and inspection data.
When conducting crane inspections and certifications, Skinner observed there was a gap in the inspection market. “At the time, I recognized that the only way to improve the inspection process and reduce accidents was through automation,” he said.
The new software, which is now available to trial, will automate some parts of the inspection process, such as reporting and researching.
