In order to fit the crane in the site and keep a footpath open behind the ballast, the crane was positioned only one metre from the building, and its fully-extended outriggers were extended inside the core of the building. Inside the building, the outriggers rested on mats that sat on a concrete floor that was propped below the mats going down three basement storeys to the ground. The crane’s maximum load is 9t at 27m outreach with two falls of rope, and maximum outreach is 42m. Maximum lifting height is 56m.
