
Scottsdale, Arizona, USA-based contractor A.R. Mays Construction is using a Jost 352.12 tower crane, provided and erected by Phoenix-based Stafford Crane Group, to help build luxury student accommodation at Arizona State University.
The seven-story, 325,676 sq ft Marshall Tempe building will consist of 188 units, plus 14,000 sq ft of amenity spaces, on 1.4 acres of land.
The tower crane has been erected with a max tip load of 9,259lbs with a freestanding hook height of 139.3ft and a 196ft jib.
It is anchored and erected on a concrete reinforced foundation. Stafford utilised its Demag AC450 mobile crane for the assembly process.
Once complete the building’s amenities will include a fitness centre, a rooftop terrace, study lounges, and entertainment space. Exterior amenities include a resort style pool, outdoor lounge, and dining areas.
