STAHL’S EXPLOSION-PROOF WIRE ROPE HOIST IS UPGRADED

German manufacturer Stahl has launched its new range of SH EX wire rope hoists. The SH EX range is the explosion-proof version of the standard SH range launched in 1997 and it supersedes the AS EX range.

First models to become available are the SH EX 3000 and SH EX 5000 which have capacities of up to 10,000kg safe working load. Models with capacities up to 50t will come to market over the following 12 to 18 months.

The new hoists have PTB-certified motor enclosures, control, operating elements and accessories for use in zones 1, 2, 10, 11, 21 and 22.

Protective features include:

• flameproof enclosed controls installed in a special panel box integrated with the hoist

• PTC thermistor temperature control of motor and brake

• flameproof cable bushings

• special cables.
