Sumner Manufacturing Company of Houston, Texas, has announced the opening of a UK sales and warehouse branch in Telford, Shropshire.
Sumner offers a range of tools commonly used by welders for handling and positioning pipe. It also has a range of lifting equipment for hoisting loads of 620kg up to 7.3m, including the Roust-A-Bout pipe and steel beam positioning hoist.
European sales manager Tim Richards said that some Sumner products had been on the UK and Irish market for several years but with the new facilities a greater range would become available.
