Tadano Faun has parted company with its UK distributor Marubeni-Komatsu Ltd (MKL) “by mutual agreement”.
MKL will continue to supply service and parts for the 600 Tadano and Tadano Faun cranes in the UK until new arrangements are in place, but MKL is no longer selling cranes.
Tadano Faun president Minoru Sakuta said: “With the UK being one of the main important markets for Tadano Faun, an immediate announcement will follow soon as to the future handling. Negotiations are presently taking place with appropriate candidates.”
MKL has sold more than 100 Tadano and Tadano Faun cranes in the UK, but sales of Tadano truck cranes, traditionally one of the UK lifting industry’s favourite machines, have been hit in recent years by the advent of all-terrain cranes and the emergence of the popular city cranes.
