Tadano said that the main theme for the company’s new four-year mid-term management plan, scheduled to begin in April 2008, is “Getting over the market about-turn and launching the Tadano group onto a new trajectory of growth.”
In August, the company celebrates the 60th anniversary of its foundation.
Tadano said that the company has done well to meet numerical goals set out in the 2004 plan, but did not give specific figures.
* The company reported sales of JPY 41bn (EUR 252m) in the October to December trading period, with net income of JPY 2.8bn (EUR 17.2m). Total sales were 122.8bn (EUR 754m) in the April to December 2007 trading period, a 22% increase over the same period in 2006. The company said that crane sales outside Japan in this period rose 37.4% over the same period last year to JPY 57.6bn (EUR 353m). The company has maintained its forecast of JPY 168bn (EUR 1.03bn) total sales in its 2008 fiscal year to March 31.
