Japanese mobile crane manufacturer Tadano Ltd issued a profits warning on 18 March, downgrading its forecasted results for the year to 31 March 1999.
It now expects a net loss of ¥1.9bn ($16m)for the year instead of a net profit of ¥130m, as previously forecasted. Sales are forecasted to be ¥104bn ($870m), rather than ¥111bn.
In the year to 31 March 1998 Tadano made a net profit of ¥2.62bn ($22m) on sales of ¥134bn ($1.1bn).
