Muuga Container Terminal in the Estonian port of Tallin has ordered a ship-to-shore container crane from Konecranes VLC Corporation, for a spring 2004 delivery.
The order was placed by AS Hansa Liising Eesti, which will lease the crane to Muuga Container Terminal. Konecranes also has a contract to maintain the crane.
The panamax size crane has an outreach of 36m, a lifting capacity of 40t, a hoisting speed of 60/120 m/min and trolley speed of 150 m/min. Muuga had previously relied mainly on mobile harbour cranes.
