The 1,200t class, nine-axle crane will be launched at Bauma in Munich, Germany on 19-25 April. The AC 1000 is believed to be the world’s most powerful roadable boom-on all terrain crane, and can be driven on the road with its 50m main boom.

The Terex AC 1000 offers a choice of a 50m or 100m main boom, and is equipped with a patented open head and sheaves, to simplify the installation of the additional boom section. Optional SSL technology increases hoisting capacity for a wide range of applications with a telescopic boom.

A variable steering system with active, speed-dependent, electronically controlled rear-axle steering provides manoeuvrability and directional stability for optimum performance over all terrain and road types, Terex said.
