Schroeder joined Terex Cranes in November 2000 as a project engineer in the research and development department after earning a doctorate in engineering at the University of Munich.

The parts and service department reporting to Schroeder includes team members responsible for parts for all terrain and crawler cranes; service operations, both office and field service; service engineering and training in both the product support and technical training area; and the repair workshop.
