A consortium of companies known as the Copenhagen Metro Team (CMT) has run the project since the start. CMT purchased 18 Terex CTT 231 tower cranes. The CTTs had maximum lift capacities of up to 12t with different under hook heights and jib lengths. The cranes were bought as part of a ‘Full Terex Package’ that included expert advice on configuration, positioning, erection, maintenance, training and support. The support was ongoing throughout the project and adjusted for the changing demands and client requirements for the equipment in future projects.

Ivo Romanelli, Terex Cranes service manager, said: "The cranes had to perform two different activities-first lifting tunnel spoil from the pit and then moving the construction materials. We were continually advising the client on the best setup of each crane including jib length and whether to have a travelling chassis or normal foundation after talking with the site manager for each station."
