The company was started in 1967 and in the mid-1980s it merged with Slack’s firm, Nationwide Crane Hire. Slack has recently purchased a 40t Liebherr LTM 1030_2.1.

DAVID SLACK, the managing director of UK crane rental firm Crane Services, and his wife have purchased the remaining 50% of the company's shares from the co-founder, Bob Dickey, following his retirement.
