Liebherr’s dockside crane factory in Killarney, Ireland has signed contracts for the supply of a Panamax ship-to-shore crane, a super post Panamax and a pair of rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes.
The Panamax crane, with a waterside outreach of 40m, has been ordered by Odessa Commercial Seaport of the Ukraine. Span is 15.3m and landside backreach is 15.24m. Height under spreader is 29m with a total hoisting range of 42m. Safe working load (SWL) is 40t under spread and 50t under hookbeam.
The super post Panamax crane is to be delivered to Liscont’s terminal in Lisbon, Portugal towards the end of the year. SWL is 55t under twinlift spreader and heavylift capacity is 65t. Height under spreader is 34m with a total hoisting range of 49m. Span is 18m and landside backreach is 15m.
Speeds for both cranes are 60/130m/min for hoist and 180m/min for trolley travel. Gantry travel speed is 45m/min.
The RTG order was placed by Cerescorp’s Halifax Terminal in Nova Scotia. The RTGs are of eight wheel configuration, stack one over five containers and span six containers plus a truck lane. SWL is 50t under twinlift telescopic spreader. Hoist speed is 22/50m/min, trolley speed is 70m/min and crane travel speed is 30/70/130m/min. These two RTGs are among 15 that Liebherr has on its order books at the moment.
