Tiong Woon has a total of five directors, three executive—Ang Kah Hong, group chairman and managing director; Ang Kha King, executive director; Tan Swee Kim, executive director—and two independent, accountant Wong King Kheng and formerly Mohan, both appointed in 1999.

In a formal statement, Mohan, 45, said that he resigned to concentrate on his other commitments. The Singapore lawyer is also a director of four other businesses, according to the statement.

Siew, 54, is also a lawyer. According to a formal statement from the company, he is independent of the company. All the same, he also reported holding a total of 100,000 shares of common stock of Tiong Woon and subsidiaries, double that of his predecessor Mohan. The holding was worth a total of S$100,200 (Eur 47,530) on January 2.

The company has appointed Siew chairman of Tiong Woon’s nominating committee and its remuneration committee, both roles filled previously by Mohan. The other independent director, Wong King Kheng, takes over chairmanship of the firm’s audit committee from Mohan.
