UK headquartered global lifting trade association LEEA’s annual Global Lifting Awareness Day (GLAD) has finally arrived.
The event is an opportunity to celebrate the lifting industry and a provides an outlet for all involved to raise industry awareness and promote safe, high-quality load lifting. A key focus of this year’s campaign is ‘skills’ and ‘employment’ – two key areas that underpin the lifting industry.
LEEA is encouraging its members, end users, and anyone else involved in the lifting industry to contribute, primarily via social media using the tag #GLAD2024.
“GLAD is now positioned as a globally recognised concept and has achieved a brand-like status, perhaps ahead of schedule, following ongoing efforts from industry stakeholders to raise its profile,” says Ross Moloney, CEO at LEEA. “We’re looking to use its popularity to raise awareness of what our industry people do and what those outside of the sector need to do to become part of our world. This is why the themes LEEA will focus on this year are skills and employment.”
