Kalmar said the toplifts, which have been developed for the US market, offered “more container moves per dollar and maximum return on investment”.
The toplifts have optional lifting capacities of 36, 41, and 45t. They are also claimed to offer faster lifting speeds. The DCF 410, for example, is said to lift loads up to 50% faster than its predecessor.
“Travelling speeds have also been improved, while greater spreader mobility allows for more flexible operations,” said Kalmar.
The company added: “Low vibration and noise levels, improved 360-degree visibility from the cabin, and fingertip handling make the DCF range operator friendly.”
The machine can, said Kalmar, run for more than 50 hours without needing to re-fuel.
