Planned view of Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power station

A consortium of Framatome ANP and Siemens are leading the construction of the 1,600 MW European Pressurised Reactor on the west coast of Finland.

Dismantling of the tower crane was completed after noon on Sunday 28 January and the access restrictions at the site were removed, according to the TVO.

At the moment, there are in all fifteen tower cranes and two Mammoet-type special cranes in operation at the site.  Temporary dismantling of a crane does not affect the construction work because other cranes nearby can replace the dismantled crane, it said.
