Four Liebherr flat-tops, two 71 EC-B 5 models and a 90 EC-B 6 from Liebherr Industrias Metálicas, and another 71 EC-B 5 from dealer Jisuma Gruas, are working on the project, which will see takeoff and landing runways extended by 200m to more than 2,400m, and a new terminal and control tower built. This will lead to annual passenger capacity increasing to more than one million, flight movements increasing to 20,000 and 1,000t of freight consignments being handled.
The three 71 EC-B 5 models have been erected with hook heights of between 20.7m and 28.4m, and can handle loads up to 5t. Depending on the working radius, the load at jib-end can range between 1t and 1.3t.
The larger 90 EC-B 6 is the tallest crane on site. It has been erected with a 32.2m hook height and a 50m radius. At jib-end, load capacity is 1.5t.
