As the development of Liebherr’s Biggleswade HQ starts to take shape, the company reports an expansion of its UK Training Services Division for cranes. The division will have a larger, dedicated area for carrying out product familiarisation and training.
Liebherr Training Services (LTS) has been CPCS-accredited and IPAF-accredited for some years now however the expansion allows LTS to run more than one training course simultaneously whilst remaining in accordance with CPCS guidelines.
The Training Services team said it is delighted to now be back up and running, having had to briefly suspend the delivery of external courses due to the construction works at Biggleswade. LTS specialises in the safe management of lifting operations and can be tailored to customers’ needs with full Liebherr certification awarded on completion of the training. They offer a very wide range of courses from A61 – Appointed Person (lifting operations) to IPAF – Harness training, to name but a few.
Part of their expanded offering is the new Liebherr Telescopic Crawler Crane (LTR) training. This course is aimed at crawler crane operators that are required to operate an LTR on site and must have proof they have completed training on that specific type of crane. This rigorous training is carried out on an LTR 1060 and will ensure that operators are working safely and with a comprehensive understanding of the crane’s mechanics.
