B&B Plant has headquarters in the Richards Bay area, and a further depot in Durban.

Bob Fogg, B&B’s managing director, said: “South Africa is in a boom period. There is massive foreign and internal investment and construction is the industry that stands to benefit the most. The country hasn’t been an international backwater for some time now and the restricted access capabilities of Unic mini cranes are a developing technology that many of my customers are interested in.”

Unic’s mini crane range includes five models. At 590mm wide and weighing 1,000kg, the A094CR is the smallest in the range. It can lift 0.995t, with its 5.49m long boom allowing a maximum hook height of 5.6m. It features radio remote control and a computerised voice warning system.

At 600mm wide, the A295CR is claimed to be narrow enough to pass through a standard doorway, weighs 1,850kg, and has a maximum capacity of 2.9t.

Like the 094, the 295 allows operators to switch between petrol, lpg, and mains electric power at the flick of a switch to suit the site environment.
