Tower crane sales, rental, service and manufacturer Uperio Group has announced it has acquired LaurentKeller, a crane company based in Gerstheim (Alsace), France.
LaurentKeller, a family-owned business and authorised Potain dealer for several departments in the eastern part of France, has been involved in the sale, rental and service of tower cranes since it was established in 1984. According to Uperio, LaurentKeller has a solid customer base and enjoys an excellent reputation in the region. LaurentKeller operates a fleet of more than 45 tower cranes and employs 12 members of staff at its Gerstheim site.
Uperio says the acquisition is in line with its growth strategy; the group expects it to strengthen its geographic footprint and competitive position in Eastern France with further development potential in the adjacent German region. In addition, Uperio expects significant growth opportunities for both sales and rental in the local market.
Uperio CEO Philippe Cohet says, "LaurentKeller is a very promising addition to our group. In Uperio, we are aiming high, we want to change our business profile and we are powered by people. The acquisition of LaurentKeller will help us to expand our professional and premium services offering to a larger territory. Uperio expects to complete the integration of LaurentKeller by the end of 2022.
