Dutch heavy lifting specialist Van Seumeren has completed the takeover of its biggest rival, Mammoet Transport B.V. The E111m deal was signed by Leo Berndsen and Frans van Seumeren in Rotterdam (see News June2000, page 3).
The takeover is effective retrospectively from 1 January 2000 and gives Van Seumeren complete control of the entire Mammoet business, including operations in the USA, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.The new company will enter the market under the name and logo of Mammoet, as part of the Van Seumeren Group.
