Rising rental company Vesta Kranvermietung of Germany has been putting its 130t capacity Grove GMK 5130L through its paces, placing a 20t silo at the Castrop Rauxel cement works near Recklinghausen.

Vesta was the first to buy the GMK 5130L: the model was shown in Vesta’s colours when it was launched at the Intermat show in Paris last year.

Vesta was taken over by a new management board in April 1997 and its 22-crane fleet is dominated by Grove models, ranging from 20t to 200t capacity. Managing director Ulrich Rodarius said he liked Grove cranes because “they are robust, reliable and easy to operate”.
