The company used its 220t Terex Explorer 5800 all terrain crane for the project, purchased from Terex Crane’s distributor in Cleveland, Renegar-Driggers Machinery Co.

The project involved eight lifts to place the two 25ft-long boilers and bases, at a radius of 8.5m, in a confined space. "At one end of the lift, we had to work around a fenced-in lot nearby other equipment, while at the other end we had to work around rebar sticking up around the boiler base," said Robert Gilley, owner of Gilley Crane.

Gilley Crane drove the crane plus full 154,800lb of counterweight — on four additional transports — to the site from its facility at Manchester, Tennessee. The crane was fitted with its standard 70m telescopic main boom, and featured self-rigged counterweight panels. Set-up time for the two-day project took around one-and-a-half hours.
