Wiesbauer, a crane service provider based in Bietigheim-Bissingen in Germany, has taken delivery of a second Tadano AC 7.450-1 crane following favourable outcomes with its initial unit acquired in 2021.
The official handover took place at Tadano’s facility in Zweibrücken, overseen by Tadano sales manager Stefan Oerter.
The event saw the participation of Wiesbauer managing directors Sissy and Florian Wiesbauer, crane operator Jannik Weigle, and escort vehicle driver André Janitzek.
The seven-axle AC 7.450-1 features an undercarriage measuring 15.99m, which places it in the same dimensional category as six-axle cranes, despite boasting the additional axle.
Its configuration includes an outrigger base of 8.49m and a total length of 17.62m.
“The AC 7.450-1 is definitely a significantly more powerful alternative to all six-axle cranes currently available on the market,” said Florian Wiesbauer.
The crane comes equipped with an 80m main boom and a luffing jib rigging system designed for rapid and straightforward assembly.
The Superlift arms are attached at the front of the boom head, increasing arm lengths and enhancing lifting capacity.
Further features on Wiesbauer’s new crane include Tadano’s IC-1 Plus crane control system and the Surround View camera system, which utilises six cameras to provide a real-time display optimising outrigger positioning.
This system also supports operational safety by improving visibility of pedestrians and cyclists when manoeuvring the crane.
“Especially since we often work on confined construction sites, this system is extremely helpful,” added Florian Wiesbauer, “it supports us in positioning the crane quickly and safely in the optimal way.”
The handover event included a visit from former Tadano sales manager Michael Zieger, who initiated the original sale and attended the ceremony while in retirement.
The latest delivery marks the first sale for Oerter since taking over responsibility from Zieger.
In June 2025, Vernazza Autogru in Genoa, Italy, received a Tadano AC 7.450-1 all terrain crane.
