Åkerströms is launching two wireless, radio-control pushbutton transmitter product lines for cranes and other mobile units. Remotus Jupiter and Remotus Mercury are designed to work with cranes that don’t require continuous control.
The transmitters have IP65 certification, which means that water and dust can’t penetrate them, says Åkerströms.
The company adds: “A specially made valve enables the transmitters to tolerate quickly changing temperatures and large temperature ranges. Any condensation is released but no moisture can force its way in. A rubber bumper makes them extremely shock resistant. The transmitters are built with a new modular design that makes them easy to adapt to customers’ needs.”
The Jupiter/Mercury 10 has 10 two-stage pushbuttons that enable double functions for each button. The Jupiter/Mercury 9RS has nine, two-stage pushbuttons and a rotary switch and can be programmed for up to 18 functions or commands in four positions.
