According to local reports, the truck driver had been delivering steel trusses to the site in Snoqualmie, where lead contractor Skanska is building a casino for a local native American tribe. As the crane, on hire from Ness Cranes, picked up a load of trusses, the boom fell, and the load fell on to the truck. Pictures from the site show the truck crushed beneath the load.
The driver had only just got out of the cab when the accident occurred. He suffered minor injuries, and received treatment at the nearby Overlake Hospital Medical Centre, in Bellevue.
