Wylie Systems last month presented its W3200 rated capacity indicator (RCI) fitted on a 70t Sumitomo SC 700-5 crawler crane at last month’s SED construction equipment exhibition in the UK. The RCI is part of the i3000 series that has been specially designed for the SC 700. The crane on show at SED has been fitted with the W3200 RCI by distributor NRC Plant.
Wylie Systems technical director Frank Beardsley says of the new RCI: ‘Easy to use, it provides all the crane indications operators need and has advanced optional features such as data collection and remote transmission. The system is extremely flexible. Owners can add data logging, and range limiting features if required.’
Other functions of the W3200 include rated capacity indication, range limitation, load indication, outrigger monitoring, slew indication by absolute encoder, anti-two-block system, margin of safety and data logging.
‘One of the great features of the W3200 is the slew indication, which also allows the operator to set range limits,’ says NRC Plant managing director Rod Abbott.
