Essex Crane Rental deployed a 272t (300 US ton) capacity Manitowoc 2250 Series-2 lattice-boom crawler to launch an ocean-going yacht manufactured by Burger Boat Company, actually based in the town of Manitowoc in Wisconsin.
Essex’s 2250, the newest of more than 400 Manitowoc cranes in its rental fleet, was equipped with 30.5m of boom to lift the 80t yacht 9m to the edge of the quay and lower it gently into the river.
