The first QUY600 model has been operating for four months on construction work at the Essar Group’s steel factory in Hazira, India.

This included the lifting of a 200t structural component, that need to be carried 30m at a height of 80m. The QUY600 crawler was equipped with a 72m main boom and 30m luffing jib in order to meet the requirements of the lift.

The second QUY600 has been employed at Tata Group’s Mandvi thermal power station, where hoisting height, hoisting weight and hoisting distance have been paramount, said Zoomlion.

This included a 10m-long, 21t structural steel beam, which needed to be lifted onto a building. The lift was expected to reach above a height of 118m, requiring the QUY600 to be equipped with 84m main boom and 96m luffing jib that, with a 58m curve factored in, could lift 25.5t at 160m.
