California, USA-based Bigge Group has set up a new division to rent out more than 50 Hydrospex strand jacks with capacities ranging from 70 US ton up to 580 US ton, as well as the Super Boom Lift (SBL) series of electronically controlled hydraulic lifting gantries. The SBL series has lifting capacities up to 1,100 tons (1,000 metric tonnes) and lifting heights up to 41 feet (12.7 meters).

Bigge has also recruited Eddy Kitchen as sales manager for its range of Hydrospex gantries, strand jacks and skidding equipment. Based on the East Coast, in Chester, Virginia, he will look after rental sales as well as customers preferring to purchase equipment outright. From 2000 to 2005 Kitchen was a senior manager with American Heavy Rigging & Hauling Co., which was acquired by Bigge last year.

Bigge is the Hydrospex dealer for the Americas, and is also an authorised distributor for Liebherr crawler cranes and Terex cranes.
