Hiab signs Eur30m service deal
18 December 2006The Dutch distributor of Hiab lorry loader cranes, Hiab BV, has signed a deal to maintain lorry loaders and hook loaders on more than 500 cranes used by the Dutch army. The Eur30m order value will be booked evenly over the 13 years of the contract. Hiab has also agreed to take care of damage repair including spare parts supply during the length of the contract.
Dutch Army Hiab
In 2003, Hiab received an order to deliver 548 hook loaders, which it calls demountable systems, and 145 loader cranes to the trucks delivered to the Dutch Army. The service contract now signed with Scania covers the service of this equipment. The service will be done in Hiab workshops close to army depots as well as through a mobile service setup.
